Silky Skin Face Mask
Silky Skin is a company which manufacture face mask, which can block the release of virus-filled droplets into the air when you cough or sneeze. This helps to slow the spread of COVID-19.
The first element of this project is to develop a type of face mask that has health benefits as well as beauty benefits. The way to achieve this is to use silk as the material. Traditionally, material such as cotton is being commonly used, but the down side is that it absorbs moisture from skin, resulting in dry patchy skin on the face. The answer to resolve this issue is to use silk as the mask material. Silk fiber retains moisture and does not draw moisture away from skin at all. Silk is also hypoallergenic, and it naturally repels mold, fungus, dust mites and bed bugs. This means it is good for people suffering from allergies to use.
On top of skin benefits, adding some fun elements can also encourage people from small children to elderly people some motivation to use face mask. Fun elements such as a pop of color or interesting pattern designs can help people to accept using something they are not accustom to use, which is the second element of this project.
